Est. in 2007, Ball Square Café delivers an exceptional breakfast and lunch experience 7 days a week, by a dedicated staff led by owners Mike Moccia and Omar Djebbouri.
The Café offers an intimate setting with a unique, self-serve coffee and beverage station that allows for an efficient, do-it-yourself method, tailored to keep your on-the-go lifestyle in motion. Whether you’re dining in, or grabbing takeout, our servers provide guests with all of their dietary needs and are committed to customizing meals to meet everyone’s expectations.
It’s no surprise that patrons from all over the country stop by 708 Broadway in Somerville, MA., to see Mike and Omar, and the rest of the staff, as they maintain a high level of success with great food, great service and a welcoming environment.

WHERE WE CAME FROM
Mike Moccia began his career in the restaurant industry at the age of 10 while working at his parents’ establishment, Victor’s Deli located in Somerville, MA. After paying his dues, years later, he wanted to call something his own. So he saw a prime location available for lease next to the Deli and decided to take the plunge and carry on the family tradition.
Moccia teamed up with Omar Djebbouri, a longtime friend and talented chef whose previous experience included manning the grill at the original Soundbites.
Thanks to the commitment of Mike and Omar, and the rest of the team, the Café continues to serve its guests and community with delicious and decadent dishes including waffles, lunch wraps, custom omelets and daily specials.
